Seminar on Solvency II in Lisbon

Last March 7th, a seminar organized by MAPFRE RE took place at Lisbon and representatives from the main cedents of the Portuguese market attended.

The conference was opened by Dr. José Figueiredo Almaça, President of ISP, the authority for Insurance supervision and Pension Funds and it dealt with the application of Solvency II project and its continuity plan.

The speaker was Santiago Romea Igea from AREA XXI.

MAPFRE RE partners with KOVRR to mange Cyber risk Line of Business

MAPFRE RE, the reinsurance unit of MAPFRE Group, a global insurance and reinsurance provider, today announced that it has signed a partnership agreement with Kovrr, the cyber risk modeling company, to support a wide range of use cases, expanding their skills for assessing accumulated cyber risk exposure together with underwriting and pricing capabilities.
