B3i now has 16 shareholders, including some of the world’s largest insurers and reinsurers across the world. MAPFRE RE is represented in the Board of Directors with the appointment of one excecutive.

B3i is a collaboration of insurers and reinsurers formed to explore the potential of using Corda Technology within the industry for the benefit of all stakeholders in the value chain.

Its aim is to male insurance and reinsurance more affordable, accessible and attractive through the power of the ecosystem founded on Blockchain technology.

B3i is targeting ceding companies, brokers, reinsurers, captives and financial investors.

Due to the global presence of MAPFRE RE, B3i has invited Daniel Quermia, Deputy General Manager and CFO to become a member of the Board of Directors.
