Opening of MAPFRE House in London

The building formerly known as Dixon House has been renamed as MAPFRE House and will host the offices of MAPFRE’s three business units operating in the United Kingdom: MAPFRE RE, MAPFRE GLOBAL RISKS and MAPFRE ASISTENCIA.

The MAPFRE Vice Presidents Antonio Núñez and Ignacio Baeza, the Board Member Francisco Marco-Orenes, the Executive teams from MAPFRE RE and GLOBAL RISKS and the Spanish Ambassador at the United Kingdom, Carlos Bastarreche attended the opening.

After the speeches of Javier San Basilio, Regional Director for Europe in MAPFRE RE and Chris Smith, International Director in MAPFRE GLOBAL RISKS, which reinforced the commitment to the London market, the Ambassador highlighted the performance of MAPFRE and the importance of the Spanish investments on the United Kingdom.

Finally, Antonio Huertas outlined some of the main activities of MAPFRE and unveiled the commemorative plaque.

Then, there was a cocktail with the attendance of nearly 280 guests, including the representatives of the insurance and reinsurance market in London.
